Founded by 3 young entrepreneurs, Ruy Reach BSF Cambodia was formed through American Art Incubator-Cambodia which focuses on environment sustainability since 2017. Realising one of the biggest issues in Cambodia,
The Plastic Commune Group started which focuses on addressing the garbage issue in the Kingdom using new technology and educating people to help achieve a cleaner and better place to live.
While spending most of their time assisting for a better Cambodia, they have successfully shared their intent through social that gave them the opportunity to meet other NGO member that has mentored them and help achieve their goals.
In July 2019, a group of students from Texas has collaborated with us which led to an idea of a potential economic business plan – recycling food waste through the use of Black Soldier Fly larvae.
Based on the studies and research, it was discovered that the use of the Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae to decrease the city’s food waste is not only economical and effective but BSF larvae also serves as a high protein animal feed that can benefit – aquaculture, livestock, and poultry. Thus, the name “Ruy Reach” which means The King of Flies in Khmer.


Hunsopheary Hun – BS Physics
From Takeo province who also graduated from the Royal University of Phnom Penh. She dedicated 3 years working as an engineer in the energy sector after she earned her degree. Her passion to learn new things has led her to become an entrepreneur. She believes in innovation and continuous learning. She joined the group last 2019.

Vannat Chhit - BS Mathematics
Earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics last 2014 at Royal University of Phnom Penh. His drive to help improve the country’s environment issues led him to an opportunity last 2017 to take part on projects from American Art Incubator in Cambodia (AAI). In 2018, he became a part of the team that collaborated with the World Wide Fund for Nature in Cambodia (WWF) and Ministry of Environment eco-projects. It was in 2019 that the BSF Livelihood has been finalized together with a group of students and professors.
